Transition Training

The Cirrus Transition course is designed for licensed pilots who wish to fly a Cirrus aircraft. The course focuses on mastering aircraft control, engine management, use of avionics, use of autopilot, and important emergency/abnormal situations in VFR conditions. Completing the Transition Training course satisfies most insurance requirements or aircraft checkout procedures for pilots new to Cirrus aircraft. As a Cirrus Flight Training Center, Clear Star follows the Cirrus approved transition training syllabus which meets and exceeds all insurance standards. Based on your skill level, the VFR transition course should take 10-15 hours of flight training. Once you have satisfactorily completed the training, you will be able to enjoy flying the Cirrus aircraft.

Advanced Transition

The advanced transition training course is designed by Cirrus Aircraft for the aviator looking to transition into flying a Cirrus aircraft in VFR and IFR conditions. The minimum requirement for this course is that the pilot must have a current instrument license. Once the online ground training modules have been completed, flight training will commence. The pilot will complete the VFR (Visual) portion of the transition course followed by the IFR (Instrument) portion of the transition course. By the time you complete this course, you will have met all minimums. This course qualifies you for sign off for a Bi Annual Flight Review or Instrument Proficiency Check. Clear Star is your one stop shop for all Cirrus training needs.
